About Lukoye Stores & Contractors Ltd

Lukoye Stores & Contractors Ltd is a Ugandan recycling and construction materials company established in 2012 and based in Nalukolongo Industrial Area, Kampala. The company combines recycling, manufacturing, construction materials and environmental protection to create practical solutions to Uganda's growing waste management challenge.

Lukoye collects waste plastics, polythene, paper, boxes, bottles and other recoverable materials from waste collectors, transporters and other sources. These materials are sorted, cleaned, processed and transformed into useful products.

Our approach is built around a simple principle: Waste can become a resource when the right systems, technology and people come together.

Our Story

Lukoye was established as a business involved in recycling, production and distribution of construction-related materials. Over time, the company recognized that the growth of urban communities, construction activity and consumption was generating increasing quantities of plastic, paper, packaging and construction-related waste.

Rather than seeing this waste only as a challenge, Lukoye began developing ways to recover and transform these materials into useful products. Today, the company is working to strengthen this value chain—from waste collection and sorting to processing, manufacturing and distribution.
